Creating Your Own Personalized Palace
Paradigm Trends has been providing OS&E to hotels for decades, but this year we really wanted to show how much further we could go with custom products. My focus was on introducing more elaborate customizing techniques—specifically diving into unique laser-cut leather patterns and expanding our range of colors and prints for both hard products and pillows.
Each product has a process behind it, bridging the gap between raw sketches and functional prototypes, ensuring that new textures could be manufactured at scale without losing their artisanal feel. Below is an example of the Calla Bath Set Soap Dish and how it started with a rough concept, before elevating to something real.
Alongside designing new items, I worked on reshashing older products by showing them in a new light. I enjoyed mixing categories to show what’s possible—like taking a canister originally meant for a bathroom and reimagining it as a solution for a coffee station or a bar setup. It’s all about seeing the potential in the design beyond its original intent.
